Old Volks owners like to think they’re sitting on a gold mine – their beetle, bus, Karmann Ghia or Thing. A surf over to Barrett Jackson or sites like ebay or thesamba.com classifieds might make you think you should sell that vintage VW. However, what’s an old veebub really worth? What if you’re buying. Can a Beetle still be had for $300? Or $3,000? or $30,000?

Volkswagen Reports December 2008 Sales
Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced December 2008 sales of 17,577 units, a 14.4 percent decrease over December 2007. Full year sales of 223,128 total units for 2008, was a decrease of 3.2 percent verse 2007 sales. Via media.vw.com
Volkswagen Launches “60 Years of Value” Anniversary Campaign
We’ve seen a lot together and we’ve great plans for the future. This is Volkswagen’s claim for a double jubilee next year: the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic of Germany and the handing over of the Volkswagen factory by the British Military Government. “The Beetle, Bulli or the new Golf – Volkswagen stands for the democratization of mobility. 2009 Jetta TDI Vehicles Named in Government Listing of Most Fuel Efficient Vehicles
The 50-state compliant clean diesel Volkswagen Jetta TDI sedan and SportWagen TDI have claimed two of the top positions in the annual EPA and Energy Departments’ list of the most fuel efficient vehicles. The Jetta TDI’s are the only clean diesel vehicles to make the top ten list, which was released last week. Via media.vw.com

Volkswagen Group Delivers 5.73 Million Vehicles from January to November
The Volkswagen Group delivered 5.73 million vehicles (+1,0 percent) worldwide in the first eleven months of this year.* The Group therefore ranks among the few automakers this year who have matched or even slightly exceeded last year’s delivery figures. Europe’s largest automaker cannot however entirely escape the impact of the continuing dramatic distortions on the world market. Nevertheless, the Volkswagen Group still delivered 447,000 vehicles worldwide (-16.5 percent) in the month of November, representing a relatively positive performance compared with the overall market (-24.5 percent).
